THE HAZZARDS: A Multimedia History
an exhibition and video
The local Bundaberg artists Charles and Sheena Hazzard have always worked across a mix of media forms including film, photography, sculpture and painting. The artists' filmed on 8mm film in the Bundaberg and surrounding Wide Bay region over a period spanning thirty years from 1950 to 1980. They provide a valuable historical insight into family life, the community and their multimedia creativity.

The project has been supported by Central Queensland University and received a community arts grant from the University to cover the telecine costs of the film onto digital video.
The Hazzards is an historical archival community project. The footage was edited down into a VHS documentary and a DVD for archiving the national archive, Screen Sound Australia.
The work was publicly exhibited in the Bundaberg Art Gallery in July 2003.
The Hazzards project involved BMRG members Karl Neuenfeldt, Jonathan Pagliano, and Seth Keen.
